Some people engage in self harm even when suicidal.  This means that they do not intend for their self-inflicted injuries to result in death, even if they are having thoughts of suicide.  People may inflict injuries on themselves to avoid acting in suicidal thoughts, manage their feelings of distress, punish themselves or as a way of communicating personal distress to others.

In this non-accredited course, you will learn skills associated with First Aid and treatment of common self-inflicted injuries.  This will include how to treat non-life threatening wounds, fractures or dislocations, bruising, bleeding and burns.
